The Richfield Storm exhibited team work and high energy when they faced the Jackson Wildcats. Beau scored two goals in the first quarter and sparked the Storm to stay even at two a piece by the quarters end.
The pace was set, in the second quarter and Rebecca, Sam and Michael
all followed Beau's lead by scoring three more. This was backed by some
excellent defense played by Spencer protecting our goal, and Antonio
and Eric defending our end of the field. Our defense held Jackson to only
one goal all period.
After half the Storm faced a defensive challenge in holding Jackson's
score increase to two. With the game tied at five a piece,Spencer scored what seemed to be the game winner early in the final period but perhaps it was a bit too soon for the Jackson team came back late and the game ended up in a tie.
It was a well played evenly matched game, which was enjoyed by all in
attendance.
